Traceability and compliance

Purchasing and lot traceability

Every bag you buy linked to its plot, all the way to the container.

From the farm-gate weighing ticket to loading on the vessel, Sankora records every movement and links it to the plots of origin. Your lots leave with their proof of origin, with no rebuilding in Excel.

Lots 100% traced, linked to the plots their weight comes from.

Why it matters

What is at stake with every purchase

01

A lot without proof cannot be sold in Europe

Under the EUDR, a lot must be linked to the plots it comes from. Sankora declares an EUDR lot compliant only if 100% of its weight comes from plots with a compliant polygon, with no mass balance.

02

Impossible volumes

A farmer delivering more than their plots can produce often points to cocoa of doubtful origin. The per-plot cap spots the excess at the moment of purchase.

03

Farmers' trust

Clear weighings, season prices applied and a receipt for every payment strengthen your relationship with members. Amounts still due are tracked purchase by purchase.

04

Gaps between dispatch and receipt

Weight loss, missing bags, incomplete documents: gaps found on arrival are costly. Sankora compares shipment and receipt and flags any gap above the set threshold.

How it works

From farm gate to container

  1. 1

    Purchase and weighing

The buyer records the ticket: farmer, product, bags, gross weight, tare per bag, moisture. The season and harvest price is applied automatically.

  2. 2

    Linking to plots

The weight is split across the farmer's plots, within their estimated output. The excess is not refused: it is marked as over the cap and linked to no plot.

  3. 3

    Paying the farmer

You record payment made in cash, mobile money, bank transfer or cheque, in one or several instalments. Proof can be attached but is never required: payment is never blocked.

  4. 4

    Stock and lots

Purchases enter their warehouse stock, then lots by product and certification. Each EUDR lot shows its traced share.

  5. 5

    Shipment and receipt

A shipment groups the lots on one truck, with the waybill read automatically. When the exporter is also on Sankora, the arrival is created on their side and their receipt flows back to the cooperative.

  6. 6

    Containers and loading

The exporter builds containers from accepted arrivals, for a single customer. A container is only loaded once approved by the customer and 100% traced.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about this service.

Does money go through Sankora?

No. Sankora records payments made outside the platform: method, amount, transaction reference and any supporting documents.

What if a farmer delivers more than expected?

The purchase is recorded as usual. The excess is marked as over the cap and linked to no plot: it does not count as traced in an EUDR lot.

Our exporter does not use Sankora. Is that a problem?

No. You download the lot file and hand it over with the usual documents. Once each side has entered the other's Sankora ID, lots and receipts flow directly between accounts.

Can a purchase be cancelled?

Yes, with a reason, by a quality manager or an administrator, as long as the purchase is neither paid nor in a lot.
